Some would say Shake n Bake, but when you ask your kids to grab a Ziplock bag from the pantry to put spices and chicken in, the name makes more sense to them to say Ziplock Chicken.

Voilà!  Ziplock Chicken was born in our house!

This is super easy to prepare and easy to double for a larger group, or make into an appetizer, or prep ahead to have lunches for the week!

For this recipe I used drumettes, but you could use any part of the chicken you prefer for the meal you are preparing.

Endless possibilities really! I hope you enjoy the flavor as much as our family does!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 16 each Chicken Drumettes

Instructions

  1. Add all the spices to a zip-lock bag and mix.

  2. Add drumettes to bag with spices and shake until chicken is covered.

  3. Place drumettes on to a non-stick (I use parchment paper) sheet pan.

  4. Bake for 35-40 minutes at 375 degrees, or until the internal temperature reached 165 degrees, flipping the drumettes half way through bake time.

Recipe Notes

If you prefer a bolder spicy flavor, then double the chili powder to 1 tsp.
