I’ve heard all the hype about the Keto and Low Carb products available at Trader Joe’s. And of course, all that hype has really made me want to check it out!

Well, it finally happened! While on vacation, we made a stop for a coffee fix and low and behold there was a Trader Joe’s right across from the coffee shop!!! How convenient *wink*

There were lots of things to look at, unfortunately we couldn’t spend too much time since we were wanting to get back on the road. However, I did pick up a few things I saw that would only need limited refrigeration, or no refrigeration, until we got to our destination.

The things that I picked up were:
  • Spindrift Sparkling Water (Orange Mango, Grapefruit, Blackberry, Lemon)

Picked this because every now and then, it’s nice to have something different to drink other than water and coffee.

Review: The Spindrift seems to me more like a seltzer than it is a ‘flavored water.’ I would say it’s somewhat flavored, but definitely not sweet. I’ve never been a huge fan of seltzer water, but if you are these might be a good alternative to try.

My go to for a ‘soda fix’ is Zevia or Bai Bubbles. I tend to lean towards Zevia more since they have a ton of flavors such as as Grape, Strawberry, Cola (caffeinated and non caffeinated), and there isn’t any sugar in them; just Stevia. There are 14 different flavors last time I looked. Dr. Zevia is my current favorite, and I have to say it seems pretty close to its namesake.

  • Everything Bagel Seasoning

This seasoning has quite the cult following on Instagram – So, I’m jumping on the bandwagon!

Review: Okay…. this Everything Bagel Seasoning is the bomb! (I just learned I can get it on Amazon!) I was testing a new keto bagel recipe over the weekend and while the bagel didn’t turn out like I was hoping, the Everything Bagel Seasoning actually made them good. lol The smell of the bagels cooking with this sprinkled on top even made one of my kids come ask what smelled so good!

  • BBQ Rub Coffee & Garlic Seasoning

I picked this up because.. Helloooo… The can says: BBQ – Coffee – Garlic That’s a no-brainer! (This is the product)

Review: I sprinkled some of this on my pork tenderloin that was grilled, and it was quite tastey, and I figured out why. I didn’t realize that the first ingredient was brown sugar. I remember looking at the nutritional label and it was labeled 0 carbs, but I must have not looked at the ingredients as closely as I usually do. The serving size is ¼ tsp. So evidently the amount of carbs the brown sugar contained in a serving must be below .5 grams. Kinda sneaky since chances are you will use more than ¼ tsp on your food. I did.

  • Gruyere Cheese

While I vacation I plan on making my Chicken Cordon Bleu Stew for the family, so this saved me roaming a strange grocery store to find Gruyere cheese. #WinWin

Review: Hello – Gruyere Cheese – It can not be bad. Hahaha

I feel like this visit was just a tease though. I could have spent much more time in the store, especially looking at the refrigerated foods and fresh veggies!

So look for another review  in the future!
